Original Penguin signs new licensing deals

Perry Ellis International, which owns Original Penguin, has signed new licensing agreements with 33

Joints and Orrsum to develop its Original Penguin by Munsingwear collection.

33 Joints, which also designs footwear for Firetrap and Blowfish, has been award the license to design, manufacture and distribute Original Penguin by Munsingwear's footwear across UK and European markets, with the aim of further developing its footwear category with major retailers and consumers. The men’s footwear collection will launch for autumn 2014.

In addition, UK-based company Orrsum has been appointed to design and manufacture the brand’s loungewear, underwear and sock categories within the UK. The collection will be inspired by Original Penguin's apparel range and will be designed to utilise seasonal trends including colour and pattern and references to vintage style.
