Penfield to launch childrenswear

Penfield, the Massachusets-based outerwear and lifestyle company, is to launch a unisex childrenswear collection this fall.

The company's signature outerwear including a fur-trim parka, down jackets and gilets will all be available in children's sizes, up to age 12.

Penfield was established in Hudson, Massachusetts in 1975, by Harvey Gross, a pioneering figure in the American outerwear industry. Gross championed the strength of down insulated outerwear for its unique ability to provide durable warmth and protection.

Penfield's first collection consisted of four key outerwear styles, all made from rip-stop nylon, insulated with down and quilted to hold the insulation in place. Each garment was expertly designed to withstand the diversity of the New England climate and manufactured by a team of dedicated craftsmen.
