Pepe Jeans Group is considering selling off the business, after it was reported that it had called in advisers from Morgan

Stanley. According to Bloomberg, the sale would include both Pepe Jeans and the menswear retailer Hackett, and that the deal could be valued at more than 700 million euros.

The rumoured sale has already attracted interest from private equity firms including KKR, Advisers LLP, CVC Capital Partners Ltd., and PAI Partners SAS.

Founded in 1973 by three brothers, Pepe Jeans is currently owned by private equity firms Torreal, Arta Capital, L Capital and its management team, led by Chief Executive Officer Carlos Ortega.

The denim brand, known for its high profile celebrity campaigns, now trades in 60 countries and has 30 stores internationally.
