The UK’s plus size resource, 100percentpeople.com, has launched the first ever Plus Size
Awards to reward independent fashion retailers for their contributions to the plus size community. The awards feature 16 different categories including: Plus Size Ladies Fashion Retailer; Plus Size Lingerie Retailer; Plus Size Ladies Footwear Retailer; Plus Size Bridal Retailer; as well as awards aimed at male plus size market.The awards will run online at 100percentpeople.com until December 14 allowing the community to vote for their favourite retailers, with the winner’s being announced online on December 19.
“There are so many small shops and online companies that are servicing the plus size market extremely well that we want to reward the best and show just how much we appreciate their contributions,” says 100percentpeople.com founder Kathryn Whatton. “We also want to find out who within the plus size world are favoured role models, entertainers and models.”
Other categories include: Plus Size Model of the Year, Plus Size Entertainer of the Year; and Plus Size Fashion Blog.
