Première Vision Pluriel attracts 5.5 percent hike in visitors

Visitor numbers at Parisian fabric trade show Première Vision Pluriel,

which was held between February 18 and 20, saw a growth of 5.5 percent in attendance figures compared to February 2013.

The six-show ensemble, Première Vision, Expofil, Indigo, Modamont, Cuir à Paris, Zoom, attracted 61,641 visitors made up of buyers, stylists, designers for fashion and accessories brands, as well as heads of fashion companies from 130 countries, of which 72 percent were international.

The shows at the Parc d’Expositions de Paris Nord-Villepinte presented 1,772 exhibitors from over 30 countries and included spinners, weavers, trim manufacturers, design studios, tanners, fashion manufacturers to represent a range of fashion cultures.

Première Vision and Expofil, an international show of yarns and fibres, saw 51,854 registered visitors, an increase of 17 percent on last year. International visitors made up 73 percent of the total, with attendees coming from countries including Turkey, South Korea, America, Germany and Spain, as well as 13 percent from the UK.

Indigo, the creative textile and surface design show, also attracted an increase in attendance, up by 6.6 percent on last year. With 76 percent of its visitors coming from outside of France, strengthening its attractiveness on a global level to buyers.
