In league with the company’s continuous store expansion plan,

Primark plans to increase the size of its flagship store on Oxford Street to 189,760 square feet, equal to 110,461 square meters by the beginning of 2016.

This area of retail space, based near Tottenham Court tube station, is currently undergoing renovations in hopes of bringing more business to the district before the Crossrail line is due to open in 2018. Since Primark first opened it flagship store on Oxford Street a little over a year ago, footwear chains Schuh and Office have relocated to the area and claimed retail locations near the value retailer.

Primark seems to be enjoying their current success and reported a strong end to the financial year to September, with a 22 percent leap in sales, ahead of the company’s project results. According to speculation, Primark is also looking to purchase Pavilions shopping center in Birmingham and looking to expand to the US next year.
