Prince Charles to host reception for British menswear

HRH The Prince of Wales is to host a reception this summer

at St James’s Palace to celebrate the launch of London Collections: Men, a new showcase of British menswear, style and culture.

The reception will provide a unique opportunity for international and UK media, retailers and style influencers to network with London’s menswear designers and businesses in magnificent and uniquely British surroundings, and will kick off the three-day event spearheaded by Dylan Jones, Editor of GQ and chair of the Fashion 2012 Menswear Committee.

London Collections: Men will take place June 15-17 at The Hospital Club and will promote the breadth of British menswear design to a global audience embracing heritage brands, iconic designers and emerging talent as well as championing British craft, skills, textiles and Prince Charles’ campaign for Wool.

Over 55 designers have been confirmed to participate in London Collections: Men including Margaret Howell, Aquascutum and Savile Row tailors Richard James and E. Tautz. In addition, Calvin Klein, Paul Smith and Tom Ford will all host events during the inaugural event.
