Proenza Schouler to be honoured by Accessories Council

The Accessories Council, an American not-for-profit organisation that promotes the accessories,

eyewear and footwear industries, has named the first round of honourees for its 18th annual ACE Awards.

Proenza Schouler will be awarded Designer of the Year, while Kate Spade New York will be honoured with Brand of the Year, and Lord & Taylor will take home the Retailer of the Year accolade. Other winners include Shinola who will pick up the Brand Launch award, Oliver Peoples for Business Visionary, Google Glass for Fashion and Technology and Alex & Ani for Speciality Retailer.

The event, which will be held November 3 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York, will mark the Accessories Council’s 20th anniversary and will also induct Salvatore Ferragamo into the Hall of Fame and honour Bulgari with the Legacy Award.

The council will reveal additional honourees closer to the ceremony date.
