This August, Pure London, to coincide with its 30th

anniversary, will be supporting a charity for the first time – The Fashion and Textile Children’s Trust (FTCT). This unique charity aims to help those that work in the UK fashion and textile industry and both exhibitors and visitors at Pure London may be eligible to apply for their child in times of need.

Anna Pangbourne, director of the FTCT, said: “We are thrilled to be working in this exclusive partnership with Pure London; their support is invaluable and we can’t wait to be there for the event.”

The charity, which was founded back in 1853, was relaunched at the Drapers Awards last year to try and reinvigorate interest. It is aimed at children who need financial support – only those with parents working in the UK fashion or textile industry – designer, pattern cutter, manufacturer. The charity is currently working successfully with 30 high street retailers and other youth organisations. For more information on this year’s anniversary Pure – read our forthcoming interview with managing director, Steve Newbold.
