Nothing is sure to raise a few eyebrows than telling people that you are starting an online fashion brand with global ambition with less than 10 people in 120 days in China. There have been naysayers, there have been cautionary tales and there have been words of encouragement all of which have been welcomed and noted. Sure it’s a saturated territory in the world’s biggest online market but you quickly learn that chartering the sea of uncertainty requires certain skills that can only be learned on the job; with the right people it can be done.

Only four months ago Catwalk88 was an idea today it is a fully formed brand with a growing team currently at 20 people. Everything is done from new headquarters (four weeks) in Shenzhen where over this short period a state of the art photographic studio and e-fulfillment center have been set up so everything is done in-house. Add branding, advertising, photography, buying, design, merchandising, planning, and sourcing to that and you get an idea of the ambition this upstart has.
