Raf Simons collaborating with Sterling Ruby

Dior creative director Raf Simons is teaming up with artist

Sterling Ruby for his own label, which will be presented during Paris Menswear Week in January.

The collaborative line, Raf Simons/Sterling Ruby, will be a one-off replacement for Simons’s eponymous offering and will be available to buy via the brand’s stores and usual stockists.

Commenting on the collaboration, the brand said: "This unique collection, born from a long standing friendship and mutual admiration and the desire by both men to experience a creative process together, will translate into a complete men's wardrobe that will combine the aggressive formal aesthetics of artist Sterling Ruby with Raf Simons constant search for innovation in men's fashion.”

The two have previously worked together including on the interior of the Raf Simons store in Tokyo and in 2009 the designer used denim bleached by Ruby to create a capsule collection. Additionally, Simons’ first couture show for Dior referenced Ruby’s paintings.

The collection will be presented on Wednesday, January 15 during Paris Menswear Week.
