New York-based fashion label Rag & Bone, designed by duo David Neville and Marcus Wainwright,

are ditching the traditional runway show for its Spring/Summer 2015 collection in favour of a portrait series featuring its customers and celebrities.

“For spring ’15, our instinct was to challenge traditional ways to present a collection and instead of a show or going down the traditional fashion photography route, we envisioned a cool and elevated portrait series. The cast is pretty different but that was the point,” Wainwright told WWD.

Shot by British portrait photographer Andreas Laszlo Konrath in New York, the series will feature portraits of NBA star Carmelo Anthony, tattoo artist Alex McWatt, model Camille Rowe, and photographer Glen Luchford.

Rag & Bone has been experimenting with how it presents its collections for the past few seasons, for its Autumn/Winter 2013 show it used high-speed cameras to capture models’ movements, and for the Spring/Summer 2014 it was all about moving mirrors.
