Chanel’s Bond Street store was the target of a smash

and grab raid at the beginning of the week. However it seems raiders left empty handed.

A Met spokesperson said, ‘Six suspects, all wearing crash helmets, on three high-powered motorbikes were trying to break in to the premises. During the attempted burglary, officers from the Metropolitan Police Service's Westminster Crime Squad arrested two males. One of the suspects, aged 23, was injured during the incident and taken to a central London hospital with a non-life-threatening leg injury. He remains in hospital. The other suspect, aged 21, was arrested and taken to a central London police station. Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the incident. At this stage it is not believed that any items were taken from the store by the suspects."

A list of other brands to have fallen victim of raiders this year include Jimmy Choo, D&G and Anya Hindmarch.
