Rebecca Minkoff to be honoured by AAFA

Minkoff has been chosen as the American Apparel and Footwear Association’s Designer of the Year at its annual American Image Awards.

Taking place on May 16, the black-tie gala will also honour Wes Card, chief executive officer of The Jones Group, who will receive the Man of the Year award, department store Saks Fifth Avenue have been awarded the Retailer of the Year accolade, while New Balance Athletic Shoe has been named Brand of the Year.

The annual awards, which recognise outstanding achievements within the US apparel and footwear industry, will be held at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in New York City and 40 percent of the net proceeds from the evening will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
