Rebekka Bay is quitting Bruuns Bazaar, where she served as creative director since April 2011.

She hands over charge to two of her own teammates, Louise Hedegaard Klausen and Tove Christensen.

Danish fashion house Bruuns Bazaar has over the last couple of seasons successfully established itself as a forerunner of new Danish modernism showing directional, contemporary and edited collections of high quality to great acclaim and distinguished reviews.

Bruuns Bazaar, based in Denmark, brought in Rebekka Bay in April 2011 as Creative Director to revitalize the Bruuns Bazaar brand and to set the collections apart from other Danish fashion brands. Rebekka has succeeded in creating a strong signature for the BZR and Bruuns Bazaar collections and positioned the brand internationally by building on the strong Scandinavian heritage of the brand.

She had focused on creating a talented and creative design team. Louise Hedegaard Klausen and Tove Christensen will continue to deliver edited contemporary fashion with high quality and strong references to Danish modernism as they take over the creative leadership, both as head of design.

Louise Hedegaard Klausen holds a MA from Kolding Design School and has worked with Rebekka Bay in her previous employment prior to joining Bruuns Bazaar with Rebekka in April 2011. Tove Christensen has a BA from Kolding Design School and a MA from RCA in London. Tove Christensen has since her graduation lived in London where she has worked with Rebekka Bay on several occasions prior to joining Bruuns Bazaar in April 2012.
