Outdoor clothing brand Regatta has promoted Graham Rickard to the role of managing director, replacing Keith Black

who has been appointed the group’s chief executive and chairman.

Rickard has been with Regatta since 1998, where he has served as sales manager, product and marketing director, as well as most recently managing director of the Regatta Group brand Dare2b. His promotion will see him taking over the MD responsibilities for Regatta as well as his Dare2b role.

Commenting on the changes, Black said: “I have been managing director of Regatta for 27 years and as the Regatta Group grows even further domestically and internationally, it felt like the right time to move into the role of CEO and chairman, a post I intend to hold for a long time to come.

“Graham is hugely well-equipped to take on the role of Managing Director for Regatta and I am looking forward to working with him as we continue to develop the UK's largest outdoor brand into Europe's largest outdoor brand."

Founded in 1981, Regatta has become a leading outdoor clothing and footwear brand across Europe. The brand currently exports its products to more than 54 countries worldwide and has dedicated sales offices in France, Belgium, Ireland, Germany, Holland, Spain, Poland, Italy, Finland, Czech Republic and Israel.
