The Retail Trust charity has seen its chief executive Nigel Rothband step down after nine years. The

charity's chief operating officer Rob Mansell will follow in his footsteps until a new appointment is made.

Rothband is credited with launching the Retail Trust Employee Assistance Programme which currently provides assistance to the three million people who work in the retail industry in the UK.

John Lovering, chairman of the Trustees at the Retail Trust, said: “Nigel has shown great commitment and dedication to Retail Trust for the last nine years but we believe this represents a good opportunity for the trust to move on to its next stage of developments while Nigel will find new challenges to use his leadership talents.”

The Retail Trust organisation is the only charity that looks after the needs of all three million people working in retail.

The trust offers a range of services including counselling, free legal advice, free debt advice, free hardship grants, free course funding and retirement housing throughout the UK.
