River Island launches in Asia with online partner

River Island has partnered with Zalora to make its collections

available online in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.

The new partnership will see its men’s and women’s collections from this autumn sold via a shop-in-shop on Zalora’s site for consumers in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. River Island previously had a franchise store in Singapore, but that closed in 2011, reported Retail Week.

“E-tailers like Zalora are making it easier to reach out to a region of over 500 million fashion shoppers without costly investment in retail space,” said River Island marketing director Josie Roscop.
