River Island to open its largest London store

Fashion retailer River Island has announced that it is

to open its largest London store at Park House, the new development on Oxford Street, joining Zara, Bershka and Urban Outfitters.

River Island, which already has a number of stores on Oxford Street in London, will open a 28,000 square foot store, covering ground, basement and first floors, in June 2013.

David Purslow of Harper Dennis Hobbs, who advised River Island, said: “We are delighted to have secured this store in the face of strong competition from some major international brands. Park House is a stunning development and is the perfect location for what will be River Island's biggest and most innovative flagship store."

Earlier this month Zara opened its eco-friendly store in the same development, marking the retailer’s fourth store in London.
