Footwear retailer Russell & Bromley has turned to Venda,
the world’s largest on-demand convergent commerce provider, to power its first ecommerce site.According to the retailer, the decision to launch its first transitional website earlier this month was based on meeting the demand of its customers, who were increasingly visiting the information-only site and asking where they could shop online.
Brendan Regan, head of marketing at Russell & Bromley explained: "Our goal is for the online part of the business to become our best-selling store. The Venda platform will help us to achieve this as it offers a pioneering ecommerce solution that has the flexibility and ability to grow and scale quickly."
Venda, who also work with other fashion retailers including Jimmy Choo, Laura Ashley, Anthropologie and Wonderbra, have built an e-commerce site using its cloud on-demand model, which offers the stability and flexibility needed for a site that is predicted to generate high volumes of traffic and transactions, with no impact on its impeccable customer experience, or the integrity of the brand.
The new website also allows the retailer to analyse its customers to personalise the shopping experience for its customers by gathering customer data, including wish lists and transaction records, so they can offer personalised or targeted shopping offers to drive repeat purchases.
Eric Abensur, group CEO at Venda, said: "It’s great to see our platform being used to support new strategies across highly respected high street retailers such as Russell & Bromley. E-commerce is rapidly moving from a supplementary element to a central tenant of any brand’s retail strategy.
“An online presence has the power to augment and add value to every part of a multi-channel retail strategy, with better data and a consistent and powerful platform for brand story-telling."
Russell and Bromley operate 45 shops nationwide including a flagship store in London’s New Bond Street.
