London-based tradeshow Scoop, which took place February 10-12 at the Saatchi Gallery in

London, has announced that its footfall was up by 26 percent compared to the autumn 2012 edition.

The fifth edition of the premium womenswear tradeshow featured more than 250 brands, which represented an increase of 20 percent on last year’s autumn show and attracted a high number of buyers from premium retailers such as Harrods, Fenwick, House of Fraser, Harvey Nichols and Net-a-Porter, as well as buyers from independent boutiques including Bernard of Esher and Vanilla Boutique.

“The fifth edition of Scoop International has been the busiest yet, with an increase of over 250-plus labels showcasing. Visitor numbers have risen year on year with buyer attendance from department stores, multi-brand and independent boutiques. The sixth edition will definitely have a more international feel,” said Karen Radley, founder and managing director of Scoop International.

As announced last week on FashionUnited, next season Scoop will be nearly doubling its exhibitors as its expands to include an additional venue at the Phillips Gallery in Howick Place which is in close proximity to the Saatchi Gallery. The organisers will be showcase around 400 brands and will be operating a complimentary car service between the two venues for visitors.

The next edition of Scoop will run July 21 to 23.
