Global social shopping app, Shopcade, has just announced its one millionth user,
two months after expanding to India and setting up a dedicated team in Mumbai.“Launching in India is a proud achievement for Shopcade,” commented Nathalie Gaveau, CEO and co-founder of Shopcade in a statement. “India’s e-commerce presence is a major opportunity for Shopcade with over 42.3 million potential users and 5.8 billion pound potential spending. We are happy to be the first social shopping platform to launch in the country.”
First founded in 2011, the London-based app has reportedly witnessed a 30 percent increase since its launch and is preparing to enter the next stage of its development. To celebrate its latest milestone, Shopcade is giving away an iPad mini to one user, along with an invitation to the app's London Fashion Week (LFW) Pop-UP event.
Set to take place on September 13 and 14 in White Space gallery, Shopcade will be launching a 'full fashion takeover' of the gallery, which will feature clothing from some of the app's top retail partners, as well as jewellery and accessories. In a similar vein to its LFW celebration last season, Shopcade will arrange for a special double decker bus to bring visitors to and from LFW events and its Pop-Up event.
