Smithfield Case, the UK’s first and only personalised online clothing service for men,
is launching this month. The online site has been created to make it easier for male consumers to go clothes shopping, who according the retailer’s research are simply ‘turned off by traditional shopping experiences’.Research gathered via an online survey last year found that 44 per cent of the UK’s male population believe that traditional shopping is inconvenient and time inefficient, while 83 per cent stated that they dislike the fact that with online shopping one cannot try or see the clothes before buying them.
Aimed at professional men, aged in their 30’s and 40’s, Smithfield Case provides a ‘curated’ case of approximately 8-12 pieces of clothing, selected by a dedicated style advisor from the responses entered into the short visual ‘style quiz’, which then comes with free shipping and collection to allow ‘quality time to try on the clothes’.
The service is focused on casual wear clothes and sells established brands including Diesel, Acne, Burberry, and Paul Smith, from five categories: jackets, knitwear, tops, trousers and shoes.
