British luxury leather goods and stationery label, Smythson, has named

its current chairman and owner, Jacques Bahbout, Chief Executive Officer. Bahbout is set to succeed the company's previous CEO, Andy Janowski, who left his position at the company end of last year.

Janowski, who was previously a non-executive director at Smythson before taking on his former CEO position in May 2012, is thought to be leaving due to "personal reasons", following the birth of his two children according to WWD.

Smythson's former global marketing and communications director, Xavier Rougeaux is set to take on further responsibilities as he takes on an additional role as chief commercial officer. He will be in charge of retail, wholesale, merchandising and corporate sales as well as his current list of tasks which include running marketing and the communications remit.

Smythson has been going a series of changes over the past twelve months, following its expansion plan, which included the opening of a flagship store on Sloane Street last year and becoming part of London Fashion Week last September.
