British luxury leather goods brand Smythson is to make its London Fashion Week debut this

September with a presentation on Sunday, September 15.

The British brand, known for its accessories, handbags and leather-bound stationery, isn’t disclosing the details of the event, only confirming that it will celebrate the brand’s key bag of the season, the Panama tote which comes in both red and blue.

Last year, the Royal Warrant-holding brand, which was founded by Frank Smythson, celebrated its 125th anniversary, and the news of its debut at LFW comes at a time of expansion for the brand. Last month the brand opened its first store in Hong Kong and in January the label opened its new 8,000 square foot flagship on Sloane Street.

The label is currently helmed by Rory O’Hanlon, who was appointed as the brand’s first design director in September 2012. Before joining Smythson, O’Hanlon was divisional vice president at Coach.
