British accessories designer Sophia Webster has taken to social media to accuse

American retailer Nasty Gal of copying one of her designs.

The designer label posted a photo of Nasty Gal’s SRSLY WTF Bag on Instagram with the caption - “Nice Try @NastyGal #COPYCAT #SpeechBubbleClutch #SWHQ”.

The monochrome speech-bubble shaped clutch looks very similar to Webster’s work, the main difference however is that Webster’s is made from calfskin leather and retails for around 340 pounds, while Nasty Gal’s version bearing the slogan WTF, is made using synthetic materials and costs 48 dollars.

Los Angeles-based Nasty Gal has been accused of plagiarism before via Instagram, in January 2013, Saylro Rose, a jewellery designer who sells her designs on online marketplace Etsy, accused the brand of copying one of her bracelets.
