Lane Bryant, the American plus-size fashion chain, is teaming up with Vogue Fashion Fund winner Sophie
Theallet on an exclusive collection of lingerie to be marketed under its ‘Cacique’ label.
Set to hit stores this autumn, the intimates collection will feature both comfortable floral print sleepwear ensembles and bold luxurious satin and lace underwear pieces in sizes ranging from 14 to 28.
Described as “risqué”, the line will include corsets, satin chemises, lace-trim garter skirts and matching bra sets. The first piece to be unveiled is a set of high-waisted briefs with a black lace overlay in a floral pattern, worn with a matching bra with sheer lace detailing.
“We wanted something a little risqué,” Lane Bryant's Chief Executive Officer Linda Heasley told WWD. “Beautiful clothing should not be limited to size 12 and under.”
Pieces will range in price from 19.95 dollars for underwear to 108 dollars for corsets, with sleepwear priced between 39.95 and 109.00 dollars.
