Central London seems to have a new retail hotspot;

St Christopher’s Place off Oxford Street, W1. This week sees a new Kurt Geiger store opening; a 2,500 sq foot space also featuring brands such as Miss KG, Carvela, French Connection, and Nine West.

This follows a recent spate of store roll outs in this neat marketplace off busy Oxford Street, including Kew 159 and accessory specialist, Elliot Rhodes, whilst fashion retailers, Reiss and Whistles are mainstays. Stationed in the heart of the West End, stores at the location benefit from high daily footfall generated by one of the UK’s most popular shopping and entertainment destinations.

According to the New West End Company, trading in the area increased by 6.8 per cent year-on-year last month, accentuating the chasm between sales in the capital’s premium shopping zone and the rest of the UK.

It is hoped that the upcoming Kurt Geiger launch will drive more customers to the vicinity. Commenting on the opening, General Manager of St Christopher’s Place Margaret Newman said: “We are thrilled to have Kurt Geiger opening its latest store in St Christopher’s Place. “We’re sure the arrival of such an influential fashion brand will really appeal to the ‘fashion crowd’ and drive footfall into the area.”
