British fashion designer Stella McCartney has designed a

limited-edition white ribbon for women in partnership with the Kering Foundation to raise awareness of the International Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women.

From November 22 to 30, every customer who purchases a product in one of the 60 Kering Luxury Brands flagships in Europe will be given the special metal badge.

Since 1991, the white ribbon has been the symbol of the men-led campaign to stop violence against women. As well as the limited-edition McCartney ribbon, the Kering Foundation is also promoting the cause with a digital campaign through Twibbon, where you can fix the badge to social media profiles to show support. Last year the Twibbon badge was shared with 15 million people on the web.

“The global violence statistics against women are horrific and it has inspired me to bring attention to this incredibly important awareness campaign by designing this badge,” McCartney told WWD. “I cannot stress enough how important it is that people are aware of the facts and gain information to make changes so desperately needed to end this terrible violence.”
