Eyeing the potential for global brands in India, designer Suneet

Varma has gone a step ahead by turning into an entrepreneur. He is planning to introduce Armani Junior, a subsidiary of international luxury fashion label Giorgio Armani, in India. The designer has the franchise rights for Armani Junior and now he is going to fulfil his dream of doing something in the luxury space. Apart from luxury segment, kidswear market is showing a great potential with very few brands catering to this sector, so he zeroed in on Armani Junior.

Varma designer has floated a private firm – Unique Eye Luxury Apparel along with some partners and has signed a three store deal with the kid’s label in July this year. The first store will be launched DLF Emporio mall in the capital by March next year. Holding a decade-old experience as a designer, Varma feels that creativity does not lie only in making good clothes. Rather one can even go beyond to explore business avenues as well. He wants to build upon his knowledge and expertise as a designer to make this venture successful by not only offering creative clothing for kids but also introducing a creative environment for children with activities like art and music appreciation classes, bringing in theatre personalities to interact with the kids inside the store premises etc.
