British brand Sunspel is set to open its first women only wear store in
Shoreditch next week Friday, as part of the heritage brands ongoing retail expansion plan.In 2010, Sunspel decided to open their first store on Redchurch Street, in Shoreditch, as the location was known for its unique mix of stores, art galleries and restaurants. Then in 2013, the label's debut store was temporarily moved to a location in Dray Walk Brick Lane, while the store site in Shoreditch underwent renovations.
Now that Redchruch's store refurbishment has been completed, with the renewed store covering two floors and stocking the brands full range of collection, Sunspel set it sights on opening a dedicated women's wear store. The brand's current women's wear range was relaunched in 2005, following the company's acquisition by Nicholas Brooke and Dominic Hazlehurst, who are now company chief executive and director respectively.
The 300 square foot women's wear store is located next to the store on the corner of Redchurch Street and Boundary Street and will offer the entire women's wear line, which has been diversified and expanded for Spring/Summer 2014.
With the opening of its women's wear store, Sunspel will operate a total of five stores in London, with other boutiques open on Old Compton Street, Chiltern Street and Jermyn Street in Piccadilly.
