Suzy Menkes to be honoured

Renowned British journalist and fashion editor Suzy Menkes is set to receive the Fiorino

d'Oro honour, reports WWD.

The International Herald Tribune fashion editor is being honoured with the high-profile award bestowed by Municipality of Florence to international personalities for her contribution to the society’s social and cultural development.

Florence mayor Matteo Renzi will present her with the bespoke award during a ceremony at Florence’s 13th-century Palazzo Vecchio on January 9, during the upcoming edition of international men’s trade show Pitti Immagine Uomo.

This isn’t her first high-profile award; she has also been given an OBE and named a chevalier of the Legion of Honor for her services to journalism.
