Ted Baker appoints new member to its Audit Committee

British fashion retailer Ted Baker has announced the appointment of Andrew Jennings,
who joined the company board as an independent non-executive director on February 1, as a member of the Audit Committee, with immediate effect.The committee examines all significant financial reporting found in the financial statements, including accounting policies and compliance, areas of management understanding, estimates as well the effectiveness of financial reporting and controls.
As former chief executive at German department store Karstadt, as well as holding a number of senior executive positions at leading UK and International retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue and House of Fraser, Jennings bring with him years of experience in the industry.
After a period of induction with Ted Baker, Jennings is set to be appointed to the Nomination and Remuneration committees as well.
