Tesco to discontinue controversial childrenswear T-shirts

Tesco has removed a range of children's clothes featuring pictures of animals

wearing spectacles and the words "nerd" and "geek" after a mother complained they would cause her young son with eye problems to be bullied.

Aneliese Whittaker, a young mother, launched a campaign demanding the T-shirts be pulled from sale claiming they 'stereotype' people who wear glasses - including her son 18-month-old Logan, who wears thick-rimmed glasses.

Tesco has now issued an apology and say they are discontinuing the entire line.
