Textile Federation has announced the winners of their collaborative

initiative, the London Perspectives competition, developed with London Fashion Weekend, which invited members of the public to design a unique and exclusive T-shirt print.

The winners, who were chosen by Caroline Rush, chief executive at the British Fashion Council, and Nathalia Riddle, stylist and consumer adviser to the BFC, are Penny Hayhurst and Nilyma Khan, whose winning designs will be sold during the London Fashion Weekend.

Khan design features an abstract interpretation of London's colorful buildings and windows seen on Portobello Road, while Hayhurst design showcase a modular version of the London skyline, with the London eye in the background.

Rush commented: "With so many strong submissions it was a difficult choice, however after some consideration I'm proud to announce Penny Hayhurst and Nilyma Khan as the two winning designers."

"The effortless compositions and the use of colour and pattern in both designs shows the combination of creativity and digital media at its best. Although very different from one another they have both successfully captured the energy of the capital."
