Textile Forum is celebrating a decade of delivering

fashion fabrics, this autumn.

As designers look to select their fabrics closer to home, the 10th anniversary edition of Textile Forum running from 17-18 October 2012 at The Music Room, London, will be presenting its largest selection of UK and Continental produced collections since the exhibition was launched in 2002.

“I am thrilled that for our 10th anniversary event we are including companies that have been with us since the first show, as well as some exciting new exhibitors, so that buyers will have a fantastic choice of innovative fabrics for daywear, eveningwear, bridalwear and lingerie for men, women and children,” explains co-founder and organiser Linda Laderman.

“Textile Forum is probably an even more appropriate event than it was 10 years ago as designers from all sectors of the industry can source high quality UK or Continental fabrics in small minimums as well as long runs,” adds Laderman.

At this October’s show there will be laces and leathers, cottons and cashmeres, wools, silks, prints and plains, as well as complementary companies offering linings, labels and screen printing. Other new features to look out include The Wool Lab – set up by The Woolmark Company - an inspirational trend tool that contains fabrics and imagery. The Wool Lab has been launched as an iPad app so designers can more easily check out additional information.

A student briefing will be held at 9am on 18 October 2012 to enable the next generation to learn more about fabrics and be able to browse the collections before the official opening time.
