Leading designer, Thakoon, will support Africa’s current drought

crisis by designing a Masai style scarf, with all proceeds going to Unicef.

"We had the idea already to make limited edition scarves based on the African-inspired plaid from the fall show, but when we became aware of the crisis, we all thought that it made perfect sense to donate all the proceeds from the sales of the scarf," said Thakoon, himself. "It feels great to give back to something that we took inspiration from in the first place. 30,000 children under the age of four died in three months alone, and many more are expected to die because the drought is predicted to continue for a couple more months. This is absolutely preventable."

The scarf design is a limited edition which is available on Thakoon.com.
