For some time The Fashion Week in Copenhagen has been struggling to manifest itself as

a continuous growing industry. The business landscape has been populated by many different voices and exhibitors have been faced with unclear and sometimes unfair sets of rules. CPH kids, CPH Vision & Terminal-2 have acknowledged this and have decided to work in partnership in order to make the most of our three business platforms.
The following is an extract of the immediate result of The Fair Partnership. We encourage you to go to www.thefairpartnership.com for the full story.

THREE IS NOT A CROWD

We share the same values and visions for Copenhagen Fashion Week. First and foremost, we share an open dialogue, a recognition of the delicate balance between business and creativity and the wish to to present ground-breaking content in all of our three fairs. The Founder and Owner of CPH Vision & Terminal-2, Jan Busch Carlsen states:
"Jointly we are able to think even bigger and act more offensively in terms of ambition for our city as a fashion capital. We share the same perspectives and as a joint force we will produce results. In my time as both organiser and owner of venues, I have never before felt such a strong connection to and trust of another 'fair player'. This partnership will act as a valuable development for both companies in addition to the future merging of CPH Vision & Terminal-2."

WE ARE COMMITTED TO INNOVATION

The Fair Partnership will guarantee a continuous high level of innovation. Our two companies have a history of formulating initiatives and innovative ideas and together we will take this mindset to an even higher level – and put our words into action.
Laust Christian Poulsen, co-founder of CPH kids and owner of TAP1, is clear about this:
"CPH Vision & Terminal-2 have a long history of developing and investing in initiatives for the benefit of Copenhagen Fashion Week. Take Designer's Nest, new forms of making shows, using social media and enforcing networking. These actions go hand in hand with the CPH kids’ doctrine of innovation. We are committed to making a difference in all aspects of the business: press collaboration, digitalisation, decor and creative concepts in our fairs, marketing, communications and, of course, the constant search for new talent. As of now we are commencing the first shared projects which we will be presenting very soon. We also reach out to other partners to make the best of these initiatives."

MULTIPLICITY AT ALL LEVELS

The Fair Partnership strives to be an inclusive organisation. We wish to make even more room for new, up-and-coming designers and show diversity in brands, venues, settings and overall creativity.

BREAKING DOWN THE WALLS

In terms of geography, The FAIR Partnership represents 'a fashion triangle' of the most extraordinary venues of Copenhagen Fashion Week: Øksnehallen, TAP1 Carlsberg and Lokomotivværkstedet. All three venues are part of our capital's heritage and history and we are working towards making the puzzle work by breaking new geographic as well as psychological ground.

INTRODUCING THE FAIR MANIFESTO

Once we had agreed on the content and basis of The FAIR Partnership, we felt inspired to take our thoughts further and formulate an ideological manifesto for the future. We hope for an industry willing to take a stand. Under the title 'Rules We Want to Break vs. Rules We Want To Make' we devised The FAIR Manifesto. We dream of a bigger playground, a business and an attitude that play by the rules when it comes to business and let go of them when it comes to innovation.

We hope you will read The FAIR Manifesto with an open mind.

Sincerely,

The FAIR Partnership
