Hong Kong-based fashion trade show The Hub has announced a strategic partnership

with the China Fashion Forum, for its next edition in August.

The partnership will see a joint event taking place at the third edition of The Hub, with the China Fashion Forum taking place at the trade show, which runs on August 27-28 in Lai Chi Kok D2 Place, Hong Kong.

This will mark the first time the China Fashion Forum, an organisation with ties to all government fashion and textile associations in China, will host an event outside of Mainland China.

The event will focus on bilateral communications, helping Chinese fashion labels understand the importance of aesthetics, commerce and culture in developing successful businesses. Speakers will include Septwolves general manager Zhou Shaoming, Evisu China president Zhao Junhao, Eachway founder Zhou Sheng, and Li Yu, general manager of Mixmind, which operates over 20,000 retail stores in mainland China.

The Hub co-founder Peter Caplowe said: "From day one, The Hub has prioritised close connections with key Chinese fashion associations critical to the fashion industry including the China National Garment Association and ultimately the Chinese government.

“With this partnership, The Hub will continue its mission to not only serve the burgeoning multi brand channel in China but to play a significant role in promoting this vital element of a thriving fashion industry.”

Chen Hu, co-founder and chief executive of the CFF Secretariat, added: “We’ve been organising the China Fashion Forum for 20 years and believe persistence is key. We believe in the long-term potential of The Hub and the contribution it is making to the development of Chinese fashion brands and the industry at large.”
