Arcadia’s menswear brand Topman is partnering with Google+ Hangouts to offer its its customers that can’t make it to

its personal shopping suite at its Oxford Circus, London store.

The service, which will be free, allows customers to sign up for one-on-one online appointments with one of Topman’s personal shoppers, who will then give style advice in real time via video chat. Appointments can be booked across multiple devices including smartphones and tablets, and through a dedicated webpage on the Topman site.

Once registered, shoppers will just need to enter their sizes and pick out styles and trends that they like, and then the personal shopping team will do the rest. If the customer likes the selection they can purchase directly from their private hangout session.

Jason Griffiths, Topman marketing director said: “To be able to open up our Personal Shopping service to all of our customers all over the UK through shoppable Google+ Hangouts is incredibly exciting.

"Through a few simple clicks you will be able to book and experience a one-on-one online appointment with one of our expert personal shoppers no matter where you are. To be the first fashion brand to offer this service further demonstrates Topman’s credentials as being at the forefront of all things innovative in the fashion world.”

To launch the service radio presenter Nick Grimshaw is hosting a live Google+ Hangout with the Topman personal shopping team on October 1 from 6 – 6.30pm.
