Topshop creative director Kate Phelan is set to return

to Vogue after nearly two years away from the magazine.

Condé Nast has confirmed that the ex-fashion director would be returning but specific details of her new role and title have not yet been confirmed, but the publishing house did tell The Telegraph that "her role, while significant will not be full time" and added that she would be shooting with the magazine again “from May”.

Phelan will continue her role at Topshop, which encompasses everything from product development and brand identity to putting forward the general creative direction of the fashion retailer, while advising on photoshoots with Vogue.

Prior to joining Topshop in 2011, Phelan had worked for Vogue for 18 years and had worked her way up from fashion assistant to the position of co-fashion director.
