High-street fashion retailer Topshop is set to open its first store

in Amsterdam, the Netherlands this October.

The store will open its doors in the busy shopping street of de Kalverstraat, at the former location of bookstore chain de Slegte.

The building offers 1400 square meters of retail space spread across 3 levels, with womenswear to occupy the top two floors and menswear from Topman to be housed in the basement, according to Vogue.nl.

The store marks the high-street retailers' debut standalone shop opening in the country, following its entry into the Dutch market 2011, when Topshop opened a shop-in-shop in concept store SPRMRKT.

Last September was Topshop's official return to the country, when the high street retailer opened a 150 square meters concession stand in premium department store, De Bijenkorf, along with a 149 square meter Topman stand.
