Tous to manage Dayaday´s retail network

The Catalan jewellery and accessories group Tous will manage

the 35 establishments from Dayaday accessories firm, part of the also Spanish group Portico, which solicited to voluntarily enter administration in early June.

Law firm Lex Poetelia, administrator of Dayaday, recently signed a contract for the transfer of management and supervision of the branch stores to Tous Group, as reported this weekend 'El Faro de Vigo'.

The transfer was sealed on October, 1 although, as published by 'La Voz de Galicia', the deal does not assures that the acquisition of Dayaday by Tous is already closed.

The Tous Group's one is not the only offer that has been presented to acquire Dayaday, which entered voluntary administration on the same date that its parent group, Portico.

According to data collected by Ardan, Dayaday turnover of in 2011 was of 22.6 million euros and had a workforce of 141 workers.

Industry sources estimate that the price that Tous is to pay for Dayaday will be in the region of 2 million euros. Portico faces a total debt of 45 million euros.
