Oxford Street will be closed to traffic for the sixth time in London’s history on Saturday 27

November. The Lord Mayor of Westminster, model Poppy Delevigne and dance troupe Dance Flavourz will be hosting the official opening at Selfridges main entrance from 11:15am.

The department retailer will treat Christmas shoppers to a host of entertainment, including a Punch and Judy show on the ground floor, a performance from the London Carol Quartet on the second floor and the chance to meet Selfridges' Christmas Costume Characters who will be roaming the store in search of festive fun.

Performance artist Jonny Woo and company will be enticing shoppers outside the store with hop scotch, skipping, hula hoping and roller skating. Complimentary rides, including the tea cups and a mini big wheel, will also be in full swing at a children’s fair ground between 12 – 4pm.
