Travelodge has collaborated with high street fashion
retailer Topshop to open a new hotel in Edinburgh's city centre. In a UK first, Travelodge has opened a 96-room Travelodge hotel above Edinburgh’s largest Topshop store in the city’s prestigious retail heartland, Princes Street. The four storey hotel has been built in Scotland’s very first steel frame grade ll listed building and occupies a former stockroom area of the Topshop store.
A spokeswoman for Travelodge told the Telegraph that they were "delighted" with the results of the collaboration. She added: "Shopaholics can now shop and snooze under one roof and with rooms from £19, there is plenty of change left to treat yourself to a new outfit."
The development represents a £10 million investment and has been built in line with the Travelodge’s ‘Metro’ style hotel model.
