UK winner Triumph Inspiration Award

Hosted by Immodesty Blaize, the Triumph Inspiration Award

named student designer Emma Walters from De Montfort University, Leicester as the winner of the award for the UK with her design Liberation. Chloe King of London College of Fashion secured 2nd place, and joint 3rd place went to Basma Masri and Pim Bencharit, both of London College of Fashion.

In its fourth edition, the Triumph contest saw 20 finalists with 10 from the London College of Fashion, and 10 from De Monfort University in Leicester. Judges included Jameela Jamil, Charlotte Stockdale, Angela Buttolph, leading German design duo Felder Felder and Triumph UK’s Product Manager Jane Fenlon-Smith, and selected designs by innovation and creativity, individuality, concept, aesthetic, quality, presentation and show effect.

UK winner Emma Walters will represent Britain at the global Triumph Inspiration Award finals during the brand’s 125th anniversary celebrations in Berlin this June. The overall winner takes home a prize fund of 15,000 Euros, alongside the opportunity to work alongside the design team in Hong Kong, and a limited edition piece sold worldwide in 2012.
