UKFT announces judging panel

Leading industry body the UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT) has announced the

judging panel for its annual awards, which celebrates the entire fashion and textile industry.

Taking place in May, there will not only be Awards for export but also for design, textiles, best brand, supplier and accessories companies. Plus to support the UKFT Let’s Make It Here Campaign, there will also be a much coveted UK Manufacturing Award.

To help decide the worthy winner’s UKFT have gathered a panel of experts including Maurice Mullen from the Evening Standard; Jessica Bumpus from Vogue; Caroline Nodder the Editor in Chief of Drapers; Terry Mansfield from Hearst; John Walsh from Abraham Moon; Jackie Hay from House of Fraser; and Heather Melville, RBS.

UKFT CEO John Miln said: “We are delighted to have such a prestigious line up of judges from across fashion press, retail and manufacturing to choose our shortlist and winners for this year’s awards.

“Those who make the shortlist will have the opportunity to present the best of their collections in a fashion show on the night which will be seen by top industry leaders and decision makers.”

Deadline for entries close on March 8 and the shortlist is set to be announced in April.
