REPORT_ In May 2013, Uniqlo has reported that its same

-store sales increased by 10.9 percent year-on-year while sales at its own stores increased by 14.2 percent, while total sales including online sales increased by 14.3 percent. This data refers purely to Uniqlo stores within Japan and does not include any Uniqlo stores outside of Japan or non-Uniqlo businesses.

Same-store sales rose year-on-year in May owing to the positive impact of the hotter weather from mid-month and strong sales of garment ranges featured in its advertising campaigns. Uniqlo closed two stores during the month.

Uniqlo is a brand of Fast Retailing, which designs, manufactures and sells clothing under six main brands: Comptoir des Cotonniers, g.u., Helmut Lang, Princesse tam.tam, Theory, and Uniqlo.
