Uniqlo opens New Jersey mall store

Global retail phenomenon, Uniqlo, opens its first US mall store on Friday.

Situated in the Westfield Garden State Plaza, New Jersey - The retail  space covers 43,000 square feet and spans over 2 floors.

The Uniqlo Westfield Garden State Plaza store will be their largest  mall store in the world and will serve as the prototype for Uniqlo’s  many future U.S. shopping mall locations.

“We need to find more shopping malls,” Uniqlo’s US CEO Shin Odake said  during a tour of the store, which opens Friday. “The number we’re  aiming for is 200. We want to do 10 billion dollars in sales in the  U.S. That is our dream or goal.”

The next US store opening for Uniqlo will be San Francisco, beginning  of October.
