Fine jewellery label Van Cleef & Arpels has announced
that it plans to open its own jewellery school in February 2012, based at its headquarters in Paris. L'ecole Van Cleef & Arpels has been created by the jeweller “in order to cast a light on the very secretive world of jewellery”, and as an ardent defender of artistic crafts, the company wanted an outlet to share its expert jewellery knowledge and techniques. The school will offer a “unique method of discovering and learning for those who are passionate about jewellery, lovers of beauty or simply curious and anyone who wishes to acquire inside knowledge of this fascinating world.”
The jeweller will operate its training courses in three steps: unveiling, shedding light and revealing. The seven module courses will be taught both in English and French and will be open to students from across the world, with prices starting from 600 Euros. Enrolment for the school opens on November 15.
